Meghan Trainor Releases Seventh Album, Cancels Tour

Meghan Trainor releases her seventh studio album Toy With Me on April 24 through Epic Records, but canceled her "Get In Girl" tour, citing difficulties of balancing work and family after welcoming a new baby. Trainor welcomed her third child in January via surrogate, and the convergence of touring, album promotion, and parenting proved too much.

Trainor described Toy With Me as her "most honest and fearless" to date, centering themes of self-confidence, personal freedom, and connection. Three singles preceded the release: "Still Don't Care," "Get in Girl," and "Shimmer." The tour, originally scheduled to run from June through August with support from Icona Pop, would have hit major U.S. cities before concluding in Los Angeles.

On the same day she canceled the tour, Trainor sold her Los Angeles mansion for $6.835 million—a decisive pivot toward home life.
