Van Morrison Receives Lifetime Achievement Award
Van Morrison was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Jazz FM Awards 2026, presented by Jools Holland, recognizing more than six decades of work that has blurred the boundaries between rock, blues, soul, and jazz.
The ceremony took place at KOKO in London on Thursday night, where Morrison joined other major honorees including Chaka Khan and Ezra Collective. His catalog—from the Celtic mysticism of Astral Weeks to the R&B swing of Moondance—has long been a touchstone for musicians navigating the space between improvisation and song craft.
Morrison is currently touring the UK, with sold-out dates at Bath Forum and Cheltenham Jazz Festival through the end of April, followed by a June 19 appearance at Grolloo Blues Festival in the Netherlands.
