Papik's Prolific 2026 Run Continues
Nerio Poggi's Papik project has become a fixture in the nu-jazz and lounge scenes, and 2026 confirms his commitment to sustained output. The World Of Papik arrived in late January via Irma Records, a 15-track collection featuring collaborators like Sarah Jane Morris and Frankie Lovecchio. February brought Hearts Of The 80s with vocalist Ely Bruna, reimagining Depeche Mode, Blondie, and Journey through a jazz lens. Most recently, Poggi paired with Kelly Joyce for Carbonara & Champagne on Alman Music, a smooth jazz treatment of French classics that bridges Roman ease with Parisian cool.
It's a varied run—compilatory, collaborative, and thematic—yet each release reflects Poggi's ability to translate familiar material into his sleek, Mediterranean aesthetic. A new single, "Washington," also surfaced in early April, suggesting the pace won't slacken anytime soon.
All three albums are available now on streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
