Snowk Release 'Mizukami' Single
The Japanese deep house duo Snowk released their new single "Mizukami" on April 3, a track that first appeared as an unreleased cut in their live DJ mix recorded aboard the "Ice Merry-Go-Round" at Daisetsu Dam Lake in Hokkaido.
Snowk—comprising Yutaka Takanami and Fuminori Kagajo—have built their reputation on what they describe as music with "a sense of floating like powder snow lying gently onto urban asphalt pavement roads," blending nu-disco textures with melodic house frameworks. The single follows "Big Love," their February collaboration with Cuban-French vocalist Liset Alea of Nouvelle Vague.
"Mizukami" runs 5:32 and is available in hi-res 24bit/48kHz formats via Namy & Inc. The duo often tour across Japan and Asia, including at Blue Note Tokyo.
