Greentea Peng and Ezra Collective's Protest Single

Greentea Peng and Ezra Collective have released 'Helicopters', a commanding collaboration fusing their distinct sonic identities for War Child Records' forthcoming HELP(2) charity album. Driven by a hypnotic bassline and deep dub textures, the track pairs rich instrumentation with sharp, reflective lyricism confronting modern-day oppression and surveillance across the UK.

Peng's contribution stems from lived experience. She wrote the lyrics while gathered with peers in the streets during protests, looking up at helicopters hovering overhead. The result channels her signature psychedelic R&B into something more pointed—a meditation on who gets watched, and why.

Produced by Ezra Collective and mixed by David Wrench, the single arrives as Peng continues touring her 2025 album Tell Dem It's Sunny, which recently took her to Brazil for the first time. 'Helicopters' dropped February 27, 2026.
