Me and My Friends Return With Bring Summer

Bristol's Me and My Friends released Bring Summer on November 14, 2025, pivoting from the meditative flow of their 2023 album Before I Saw The Sea toward something designed to be danceable from start to finish. The UK quintet—featuring Nick Rasle's highlife guitar, Emma Coleman's cello, and Sam Murray's funky clarinet—have peppered the album with ingredients from disco, rock, samba, gnawa and cumbia, all grounded in their signature Afrobeat-folk hybrid.

It's a celebration of authenticity, the inner child and the freedom to be yourself, an invitation to dance as a raw, unfiltered expression of life. The band has long earned support from Gilles Peterson and Cerys Matthews, and this record makes clear why: it refuses easy categorisation while remaining instinctively warm and groove-driven.
